 Workshops and Classes

3-D NEEDLE FELTING
Simply by using woolen fibre and some felting needles you can create your own three-dimensional shapes and objects. In this workshop you’ll learn some of the techniques needed to make intricate 3D fibre figures, from your favourite animal to fanciful flowers, imaginative elves and even spirit animals.
Take your needle felting to the next level with this workshop taught by Guild members Terry Irvine and Particia Landry. All supplies, including wool fibre, needles and boards will be provided, (or bring your own.)

This workshop will take place Fall / Winter of 2025.

 SPIN YOUR VERY FIRST YARN!
Does the thought of making your own yarn sound exciting? Can’t wait to start? Then this workshop is meant for you. Taught by Guild member Judith Glibbery, this spinning workshop is designed for beginners.
Starting with important foundations to build and develop your future spinning skills, you’ll learn how the spinning wheel actually works and begin the process of creating yarns (using sheep’s wool) that are amazing to knit, crochet or weave.
Spinning wheels will be provided or students may also bring their own wheel if it’s in good working order.
A comprehensive notebook and wool fibre are included in the fee.
You’ll learn in a relaxed and welcoming environment and, most of all, have tons of fun doing it!
This workshop will take place Fall 2025.

CORE SPINNING & BEYOND

With Vicki Robinson
With the addition of core spinning to your spinning toolbox, you will be open to a myriad of different yarns. Likely the most useful construction for art yarns, we will explore core materials, various fibre preparations and even plying to take our yarn even further. If long lock spun yarns, spirals, bubble crepes, coils, supercoils are your thing, then core spinning is for you.
A colourful array of fibres for spinning will be provided but you will need to bring a wheel in good working order with a minimum of 2 bobbins. This is not a workshop for beginners, spinners should have the ability to spin one continuous thread.

Workshop will take place Fall 2025. If you are interested in joining the waitlist, please fill in the form at bottom of page and we'll get back to you when dates are set

VICKI ROBINSON grew up in Australia where her imagination was not contained in boxes. Having taught, been published, and exhibited Internationally, Vicki now loves to create and teach, sharing her love of fibre from her home and studio in Hedley, BC, Canada.
